Nottingham Forest agree Liverpool transfer as medical 'arranged'

Nottingham Forest. are closing in on the signing of Neco Williams from Liverpool.

The right-back is a key target for Steve Cooper this summer and the latest transfer reports claim that he is close to landing his man. GOAL reporter Neil Jones claims that a fee of £16million has been agreed between the two clubs, which is a fee that could rise close to £17million with add-ons.

And Williams is now set to to undergo his medical on Sunday ahead of putting pen to paper on a contract at the City Ground. It comes as the Reds are also set to sign Bayern Munich full-back Omar Richards for €10million.

Richards is also due to undergo a medical as Cooper continues to shape his squad ahead of the club's first Premier League season in 23 years. So far, Forest have signed four players for a combined £36million, as Taiwo Awoniyi, Giulian Biancone, Moussa Niakhate and Dean Henderson (loan) have all joined the club.

Forest have started their pre-season campaign too, as all four of their new summer signings started in a defeat to Coventry City on Friday night - Cooper elected to make 10 alterations at half time with score at 1-1. Forest face another six friendlies before their Premier League campaign kicks off on Saturday, August 6 at Newcastle United.
