Nottingham Forest striker Taiwo Awoniyi has provided a glimpse into his recovery from injury.
The forward has been sidelined with a groin problem since the start of January. He was forced off in the second half of the Reds’ 1-0 win at Southampton last month, having netted what proved to be the winning goal.
As he continues to work his way back to fitness, Awoniyi has posted a video clip on his Instagram page of him going through rehabilitation work at the Nigel Doughty Academy. He included the caption: “Steps by steps.”

Forest head coach Steve Cooper has previously said of Awoniyi: “It is difficult to give a real time on it. He has been a little bit up and down with it from one day to the next, on the injury settling down and getting into rehab.
“There is nothing I can say about that really. He's doing everything he can. We're doing everything. Hopefully we can get a breakthrough soon.”
The Reds were already dealing with a significant injury list when they were dealt a double blow in last weekend’s defeat at Fulham. Centre-backs Willy Boly and Scott McKenna were both forced off with hamstring issues with just seven minutes gone at Craven Cottage.
Jesse Lingard had missed the trip to the capital with a knee problem, while Ryan Yates (illness), Dean Henderson (thigh), Cheikhou Kouyate (hamstring), Moussa Niakhate (hamstring), Omar Richards (hairline fracture of the leg) and Giulian Biancone (ACL) are all sidelined.
Awoniyi had been in good form prior to picking up his injury. He had scored twice in four appearances since returning from the World Cup break, to take his tally for the season up to five goals.
