Nottingham City Transport is still recommending passengers wear a face mask despite Plan B restrictions being lifted from Thursday (January 27).
Plan B restrictions, which included wearing a face covering on public transport and indoor places, will be lifted from Thursday, with there no longer a legal obligation to wear a face covering.
Although the Government suggests that you continue to wear a mask in crowded and enclosed spaces where you may come into contact with other people you do not normally meet.
Staff at Nottingham City Transport are asking members of the public to "show consideration towards others on the bus" and when visiting the travel centre to wear a face mask, unless exempt.
NCT has also reminded people of other ways to keep safe while travelling:
Remember:
- Do not travel if you are unwell, have COVID symptoms or should be self-isolating
- Sanitise your hands as you get on and off the bus, using the sanitiser dispenser near the doors
- Keep windows open for ventilation, which alongside the frequent opening of doors, ensures a regular flow of air through the bus
Also from Thursday, venues and events will no longer be required by law to check visitors’ NHS COVID Pass - although the pass can still be used on a voluntary basis.
