Reduced ticket prices on Nottingham City Transport (NCT) buses have come into effect for customers. The maximum single fare for any journey will be £2 across all NCT services from today (January 2) all the way through to March due to the Government-funded Help for Households initiative.
These trips are included on routes through to Loughborough, Southwell and Woodborough. The standard adult city area single will reduce from £2.50 to £2 and if you usually buy an all-day ticket, but only make two journeys a day, you can pay just £4 by paying for a single ticket on both buses you use.
All adult, under-19 and student single fares which are already £2 or less, £4.70 day tickets and all other tickets, such as Easyrider and longer term mobile tickets, remain at their normal prices. NCT also announced its Christmas and New Year timetable last week.

Trentbarton is also taking part in the Government-funded initiative. A trentbarton spokesperson said: “We will be adopting the Government funded £2 single fare cap being introduced from New Year’s Day until the end of March, to encourage people to use buses more regularly."
