Nottingham City Transport announces 40 percent ticket price drop

Nottingham City Transport (NCT) has announced it is reducing the cost of their Grouprider tickets by 40 percent. Grouprider tickets are now available at £6 all day, every day across all NCT buses in Nottingham.

The tickets are for up to five people (minimum one adult, maximum two adults) and are a good option for families or two adults travelling together throughout the city. Formerly available at £10 before 9.30am on weekdays, the new £6 all day Grouprider price represents a 40 percent price cut when purchased at peak times.

NCT mentioned the current cost of living crisis in their statement when speaking about the ticket price drop. Anthony Carver-Smith, NCT Head of Marketing said: “At a time when household budgets are under increasing pressure, reducing Grouprider prices will help families by offering even greater value for money bus travel”.

Grouprider tickets can be purchased on the bus using cash and contactless, as well as on the NCTX Buses app.
