A notorious paedophile has been banned from women's prison HMP Styal after threatening to carry out a 'violent rape'.
Jay Ferguson, who identifies as a man, was jailed in 2017 after he put together a sinister 'rape kit' and threatened to abduct and rape a child.
Then aged 18, he was sentenced 22 months in prison and given a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO), the Echo reports.
But within days of his release in 2019, Ferguson contacted police to tell them he had a child sex abuse video and a knife.
For those offences he received a 14-month sentence last year, to be served at Styal prison in Wilmslow.
But while there he wrote to prison officers saying he intended to carry out a 'violent rape' using the dating app Tinder when released.
The now 22-year-old, from Huyton, appeared at Liverpool Crown Court today with his name listed as Jay aka Jodie Ferguson.
At the start of the hearing, Judge Rachel Smith enquired whether Ferguson was appearing via video link from HMP Styal.
Michael Stephenson, prosecuting, said: "He's prohibited from being at Styal, he's at a prison in West Yorkshire, I'm told."
The ECHO has since learned Ferguson was handed another six months in jail last August, after admitting sending a letter conveying a threatening message.
According to the charge, that related to a letter he sent from Banstead in Surrey, to a member of Merseyside Police sex offender unit, on February 6, 2020.
Ferguson was then given a two-year restraining order, preventing him from contacting the recipient, or going to HMP Styal.
This morning he appeared from HMP New Hall, a closed category women's prison near Wakefield.
Ferguson confirmed with Judge Smith that he wished to be referred to as Mr Ferguson, with the use of the pronouns he and him.
He then pleaded guilty to two breaches of his SHPO.
The court heard Ferguson breached the order between February 27 and March 1 this year when, "without reasonable excuse", he "accessed Zoe and Only Women dating applications via Facebook".
Zoe and Only Women are both dating apps which state they are for lesbian and bisexual women.
Ferguson also admitted breaching the order on February 28 by accessing Facebook Messenger to make contact with his niece.
Paul Lewis, defending, requested a pre-sentence report, adding there were "self-harm issues and other issues relating to accommodation and the like".

Judge Smith adjourned sentencing until April 30 and remanded Ferguson in custody until that date.
She said: "It's in your interest that the court should have the fullest information about you and that will happen by way of you cooperating in interview with a probation officer."
The judge warned: "The fact I am adjourning for the preparation of a pre-sentence report is no indication of what the sentence will be.
"All sentencing options including immediate custody will remain open to the court."
Ferguson's criminal record includes assault and possessing a knife in public in 2015.
In November 2017 he admitted attempting to incite a child to engage in sexual activity and five counts of malicious communications.
That was after he put together the chilling kit, containing a balaclava and gloves, and told police that he would abduct and rape a child.
Ferguson told police he got the idea from a "psycho" on the TV show Law & Order, and showed officers a teddy, explaining that: "I hurt the teddy so I don't hurt kids."
The smirking teenager had been arrested after a series of increasingly sinister and disturbing rape threats to teenagers, children and one 15-year-old victim's mum.
Prosecutors told the court Ferguson said he was aware sexual activity with children was wrong but "just wanted to do it", "couldn't help" himself, had every intention of carrying out his "fantasies" at the earliest opportunity, and as soon as he was left to live on his own "would abduct and rape a child".
Along with the kit, police recovered a letter in which Ferguson said he was planning to go out to rape someone, with a step by step numbered list of what he would do.
When released from Styal jail in August 2019, Ferguson moved back to Huyton, but within five days rang police to say a man had sent him indecent images of children.
However, officers discovered he had encouraged the man to send videos, chatted about abusing children, and they sent each other videos of them performing sex acts.
Ferguson, who later claimed he was acting as a 'paedophile hunter', was then found to have a clip of a girl aged between eight and 10 performing a sex act.
The pervert was released on bail, but just days later walked into Huyton Police Station and said he had a knife because he had been sexually assaulted.
When sentenced for possessing an indecent image of a child and having an article with a blade in January 2020, concerns were raised of Ferguson's "immediate risk".
Sarah Badrawy, prosecuting, said: "He has written letters to officers at Styal indicating his intention to carry out a violent rape on his release and his intention to use a social network or dating application called Tinder to do so."
Defence lawyers said Ferguson was a "complex young man" with cognitive deficits and relationship issues who needed "very careful supervision within the community".
