Donny van de Beek has spoken about his loan spell at Everton following his return to Manchester United.
The Netherlands international spent the second half of last season on loan with the Blues, after being a deadline day signing for Frank Lampard. However, injuries restricted Van de Beek to just seven appearances for Everton.
Van de Beek’s final appearance came in the last Premier League match of the campaign. He scored the Blues’ only goal in the 5-1 away defeat to Arsenal.

The 25-year-old has now returned to United and has already featured in their pre-season campaign. And he has opened up on the struggles he faced during his loan spell at Everton, and how he rated the stint at Goodison Park.
“For my experience, I think [the Everton loan] was good,” Van de Beek told United’s website. “Obviously, I was a little bit unlucky with my injuries. I missed a lot of games but to have that experience.
“It was not an easy season for the team, because we played to avoid relegation, which is not what you want for a club like Everton. But, overall, it was a good experience to be there.”
