"Not sure where he lost his pants - that's the mystery": 'Bizarre' clip shows man in undies scrapping outside the Spar near Piccadilly Station

A 'bizarre' clip captured the moment three people were seen fighting on the floor in the middle of the street - with one man in his underwear.

The incident was caught on camera outside the Spar shop on Piccadilly, near to Piccadilly station, in the early hours of Tuesday morning (April 4).

In the clip, three people - two men and a woman, are seen rolling around in the middle of the road before one man in his boxer shorts is seen kicking his legs in the air.

At one point the other man appears to be seen attempting to climb on top of him and hold his legs down. The incident unfolded shortly after 1am on Tuesday.

One witness, who called the incident 'bizarre' after filming it on their mobile phone, told the Manchester Evening News they saw the male wearing no trousers 'spit' at a group before a man intervened.

"He spits at a group of lads walking by which is when the video kicks in. I don't think the guy in the video was who the kid spit on, I think he tried to defuse it, but the kid started fighting him too. I'm not sure where he lost his pants, that's a mystery to me," they said.

"A little later he was still arguing with anyone who laid eyes on him and was being kept by the store front by the crowd. The last I saw, two police cars showed up and took him aside for a word. Couldn't tell you what happened to him.

"Just your average Monday night in Manchester. I only came back to visit family for a couple of days and this was the introduction. Nothing's changed."

Greater Manchester Police have confirmed that they were called out to reports of a fight at around 1.20am and that there were no injuries reported. No arrests have been made and CCTV enquiries are continuing into the matter.
