Not everyone thinks the Boston Celtics ought to trade the NBA’s 2023 Sixth Man of the Year, point guard Malcolm Brogdon.
While a recent guest on NBC Sports Boston’s “Arbella Early Edition” show, 98.5 the Sports Hub’s Cerrone Battle suggested the franchise should retain Brogdon for the 2023-24 season.
“You don’t have the three guards situation there (any) more. And, on top of that, he was a good player,” said Battle via Heavy’s Mark Nilon.
“The (m)ajority of the season the guy was a 50/40/90 shooter. He’s a good player,” he added. :(Brogdon) has the injury in the playoffs, and, of course, that’s the most recent thing we remember so we’re going to judge him on that.
“But for the majority of the season, Brogdon was a good player for them … and he is going to be a valuable player for them.”
