Manchester City's CEO Ferran Soriano has warned the club 'will win' the Champions League, but the Premier League remains their priority.
The current league champions secured their fourth title in five years last season, beating Liverpool by a single point for a second time. However, they're yet to win their first Champions League trophy despite coming close in 2021 when they lost 1-0 to Chelsea in the final.
Regardless, they're still arguably one of the favourites for the European competition this season following the addition of Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund. Soriano says City's target, though, remains domestic success.

"No, it’s never (the priority)," he said in an interview with BT Sport. "Our priority is always the Premier League, we work for it everyday, it is our bread and butter. The Champions League of course is an aspiration, but it’s not an obsession, but we will win it, I am sure."
City have been drawn into group G with Sevilla, Dortmund and FC Copenhagen. Liverpool, on the other hand, are in group A with Ajax, Napoli and Rangers.
Jurgen Klopp's side reached the Champions League final last season, but were beaten 1-0 by Real Madrid in the final in Paris. They'll hope to go one step further this time around, while also keeping themselves in contention for the league title.
The Champions league group stage matches are expected to get underway in roughly 12 days time on September 6 as the road to the final begins. The showpiece in June will take place at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul.
