'Not a serious club' - Arsenal fans sent into meltdown as Chelsea try to hijack Mudryk transfer

Arsenal's pursuit of Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhaylo Mudryk has hardly been kept a secret.

The Gunners are looking to bolster their squad following an imperious start to the season that sees them eight points clear of second-placed Manchester City. The north London outfit have been heavily linked with a move for the talented Mudryk over the last few months and football.london understands that they saw an offer in the region of £55million including add-ons rejected by Shakhtar.

Fresh reports have claimed that the Gunners made an improved offer for Mudryk. The second bid is said to still be short of the Ukrainian side's asking price, according to Goal, although the new terms are being considered.

However, Arsenal's London rivals Chelsea are the latest team to be mooted as a potential destination for Mudyrk, with various reports claiming that the Blues are looking to hijack a deal for the 21-year-old. This has left plenty of Gunners supporters frustrated and a number of disgruntled fans took to social media to voice their anger.

Here is what a select few on Twitter said.

@EmilianTeodor : "I will actually be very sad if Mudryk will end up at Chelsea. I don't understand why Arsenal can't close deals, every time we just drag every transfer as we did with Vlahovic, Maddison, or Aouar. Every time... This is not a serious mentality of a big club."

@sheila_gooner : "Well this is a blow for ARSENAL after we had agreed to offer more as well. Oh well if he goes there it was not meant to be, I will be sad, but don't want us to make a silly offer for any player."

@x1marv : "Got a funny feeling Arsenal are going to miss out on Mudryk. Chelsea will stump the money up what Shakhtar want."

@starfame10 : "Honestly Arsenal is not a serious club …, how did I end up supporting this team !"

@BARTINGA_KE : "Bring Jao Felix and recall pepe, we can't spend more money on one play."
