Norwich 0-4 West Ham: David Moyes’ side recover from Frankfurt hangover and ramp up pressure on Man Utd

West Ham recorded their joint second-biggest Premier League away win with a 4-0 victory at Norwich on Sunday.

While the manner of their exit in the Europa League threatened to cause something of a hangover, David Moyes’ side could not have looked more clear-headed as they ramped up the pressure on Manchester United in sixth placed.

Moyes has talked about making a quick-fire return to the European stage and could avoid the much maligned Conference League should his team finish the season strongly.

A Said Benrahma brace, going some way into justifying his selection ahead of Tomas Soucek, Michail Antonio’s first League goal since New Year’s Day and a Manuel Lanzini penalty saw the Hammers romp to victory over a hapless Norwich side.

Just as the season looked to be fizzling out, West Ham surely look favourites to finish sixth ahead of a United team in utter disarray.

Moyes could soon be back on the big stage.
