Norway enforcer left greetin' after Scotland glory as he reveals team-mates have turned to gallows humour to cope

Broken Stefan Strandberg revealed Scotland caused him to break down and cry after Norway's last gasp Euro 2024 heartache.

The Scandinavian nation bounced back from the gut-wrenching late defeat to Scotland at the weekend to cruise past Cyprus in a 3-1 win. However, they remain eight points behind a Scotland team who have more points in Group A than the rest of the other teams combined.

And the Valerenga defender admitted Scotland have caused him nightmares. He said: "The last few days have been absolutely terrible mentally for me. I cried after the defeat. It was the first time I have cried for many years. I may look like the type of guy who shouts a lot, but that defeat meant a lot to me, the guys in the dressing room mean a lot to me.

"My team-mates have reacted differently. Some are mad and some use gallows humour, but all of us have gone through an emotional rollercoaster. Honestly, I have never experienced emotion like this after losing a football match."
