The UK forecast for today is for sunny spells and further wintry showers, most frequent along parts of the north and east coasts. A more organised area of rain is expected to affect parts of western Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Tonight, wintry showers are expected with an ice risk in the east. Rain and sleet are expected in the west, continuing to sink south with some hill snow and perhaps to low levels in places. Elsewhere, it is expected to be clear with widespread frost.
