It's now less than two months until Christmas and the whispers of winter cheer are starting to become louder as we leave behind Halloween.
And this weekend, one of the first Christmas fairs in the region will take place in Northumberland. The Northumberland Joy of Christmas Fair will take place at Linden Hall in Longhorsley near Morpeth, with proceeds going to HospiceCare North Northumberland.
More than 70 stalls are expected to be at the fair, which is being held over two days for the first time, selling arts, crafts, food and unique gifts. The fair follows on from the hospice hosting open garden events across Northumberland in the summer, with Hedgely Hall in Powburn, Shortridge Hall in Warkworth, and the Parish of Lesbury throwing open their usually closed gates to members of the public.

The hospice, which has wellbeing centres in Alnwick and Berwick, aims to offer high-quality palliative care for residents of north Northumberland, rather than them having to travel for the care they need.
Emma Arthur, Fundraising Manager at HospiceCare North Northumberland, said: " We are delighted to be back at Linden Hall for our 10th Northumberland Joy of Christmas Fair- we have many familiar faces joining us again and we are welcoming new exhibitors this year also. We can’t wait to meet you on the day with a glass of mulled wine and with so many lovely gifts, crafts and food to purchase there is something for everyone on your Christmas list."
Entry to the Northumberland Joy of Christmas Fair is £3.50 for one day or £5 for both and includes a glass of mulled wine. Children under 12 go free.
The event is held from 10am - 4pm on Saturday November 5 and Sunday November 6. For more information visit the HospiceCare North Northumberland website.
