Northern Ireland weather forecast for the week ahead as sun to shine with 20C heat

It is time to stock up on sun cream, because Northern Ireland is set for a cracking week weather-wise.

The Met Office's forecast for the next few days is dominated by heat. Highs of 20C will be felt across the region, with UV levels also set to be of a High alert.

On Monday, which is another Bank Holiday, it will be a dry day with plenty of sunshine. It will become warm in the south and west, with onshore breezes keeping coastal districts somewhat cooler.

People can expect maximum temperatures of around 20C.

Here is the forecast for the week ahead, according to the Met Office:

Monday: A dry day with plenty of sunshine. Becoming warm in the south and west, onshore breezes keeping coastal districts somewhat cooler. Maximum temperature 20C.

Tuesday: Sunny all day. High UV levels and Low pollen count. Highs of 20C.

Wednesday: Sunny all day. High UV levels and Low pollen count. Highs of 20C.

Thursday: Sunny intervals. High UV levels and Low pollen count. Highs of 19C.

Friday: Sunny all day. High UV levels. Highs of 19C.

The roundup outlook is that Northern Ireland will be dry and settled with a good deal of sunshine. Warm in many places, locally very warm across the southwest.
