Northern Ireland weather forecast for the weak ahead shows mixed conditions

Northern Ireland will see mixed conditions on the weather front as the week goes on.

The good news is that the week will start with some sunshine on Monday, April 24.

However, the week will steadily get more showers, mixed in with sunny spells, a Met Office spokesperson has said.

Monday:

Colder on Monday with sunshine and a few isolated afternoon showers, turning wintry over hills. Maximum temperature 10C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

A dry day with sunny periods Tuesday. Cloud spreads north overnight into Wednesday with outbreaks of rain following from the afternoon. Thursday remains cloudy with rain and showers at times.

UK long range weather forecast - Thursday 27 April - Saturday 6 May

On Thursday, outbreaks of rain, locally heavy, are expected to spread northeastwards. There is a chance of a few wintry showers in the far northeast, where temperatures will be below average.

Into Friday and Saturday, unsettled showery conditions for many, particularly in northern areas. It is expected to become drier in more southern parts later in the weekend. Continuing through the rest of the period, conditions are likely to be predominantly dry across most of the UK.

There is a low risk of strong winds initially, mainly in northern and western areas. Overall, temperatures will likely be below average to start in the far north but will increase to slightly above average through the period.
