Northern California Earthquake Causes Tsunami Warning For Coastal Areas

Today, a powerful earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 7.0 struck nearly 300 miles up the coast near the town of Eureka in Northern California. The earthquake did not cause any damage in San Francisco, according to Capt. Justin Schorr of the city's fire department.

The US Geological Survey reported that the earthquake originated near Eureka. Despite its strength, there have been no reports of damage in San Francisco so far.

Following the earthquake, a tsunami warning has been issued for parts of the California and Oregon coastline. Residents in these areas are advised to take necessary precautions and stay updated on the situation.
