A Boots store in North Wales has been sold at auction.
There had been speculation over the future of the pharmacy store on Station Road in Colwyn Bay after a raft of other big retail names have left the town since the pandemic started - including Argos, Peacocks and WH Smith.
Last month it was revealed the unit was up for auction with Allsop but there was good news on the future of the national brand.
Boots - who have been at the site since 1979 - said there were currently no plans to close the store and the auction listing showed they have just signed up for a new five year lease on the property.
The site was available at auction at a guide price of £255,000 but actually sold for £390,000, showing demand remains for retail investments in the town.
There are hopes after a tough pandemic the resort can start to reverse its fortunes as the economy opens up.
Regeneration chiefs had hoped the new large Conwy council offices at Coed Pella would help increase footfall and spending in the town but the pandemic saw nearly all the workers relocated to home working.
The town is currently part of a Welsh Government scheme offering grants and low cost loans to tempt businesses in - with hopes this can attract more independent traders.
