A man has appeared in court charged over violent sexual attacks on two women in a north Queensland store.
The 37-year-old appeared via video link in the Mackay Magistrates Court on Wednesday dressed in prison greens and with cuts to his nose and cheek.
Police allege the Eimeo man sexually assaulted two women in separate attacks inside a Northern Beaches food store on September 1.
Court documents revealed the man allegedly stalked one of the victims and assaulted her inside the store.
The man then allegedly assaulted a second woman inside the same store.
According to the court documents, the alleged offender was taken into custody later that day.
The man faces 14 charges in total, including two counts of common assault, three counts of sexual assault, rape, assault intending to commit rape, stalking, entering premises with intent to commit an indictable offence, seriously assaulting police, obstructing police, wilful damage to police property and fare evasion.
He also faces charges in relation to a separate wilful damage incident in late August.
Magistrate Damien Dwyer closed the court briefly, but later told the courtroom that no application for bail was made and he remanded the accused man in custody.
Magistrate Dwyer ordered a brief of evidence be prepared by October 14 and adjourned the matter to November 16.
