North Lanarkshire Libraries launch new service to help locals with health and fitness

North Lanarkshire Libraries has launched a new mobile library service to those looking to understand health, nutrition and wellbeing alongside your physical journey to fitness.

FITStop, which kicked-off last week at Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility, is a mobile library especially equipped with children’s and adult books around sports and fitness including motivational titles, biographies, nutrition and physiology.

There will also be an enhanced children’s section alongside popular fiction and non-fiction.

The service will stop at Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility every two weeks on a Friday from 3pm to 4.20pm starting from Friday, June 24.

Visitors are invited to chat to a member of staff in the Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility foyer about becoming a library member to use this service, as well accessing free eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines and eNewspapers.

FITStop now commences a regular two weekly visit from Friday, June 24.
