North Lanarkshire Council’s business waste service has gone online to improve the service to customers.
Businesses will now be able to access and manage their business waste collection and order new bins more quickly and easily using a secure online account, called bisaccount.
Customers will also be able to change the frequency of their collections and view pricing information and payment methods.
The account will generate customers’ 'duty of care' document, the legal contract between the council and each business which is legally required.
NLC's head of regulatory services and waste solutions, Andrew McPherson, told us : “By creating an online account, businesses will have a convenient, efficient way of managing their business waste contract, with all the necessary information in one place.
“This is part of the our ongoing move towards digital services that meet the needs of residents and businesses, and helps us provide a more efficient and responsive service.”
A letter has been sent to all existing customers providing details of how to register for an online account.
The council offers business waste and recycling services for: mixed dry recyclates, such as cardboard, metals and plastics; food waste; glass; and green garden waste.
