A man who was stabbed to death on a busy footbridge in west London has been named by Metropolitan Police as the force appeals for witnesses.
Tyrone Pinnock, 36, was found with stab injuries on Kensal Road on Thursday around 6.40pm by a member of the public who flagged down a police car.
He had been targeted on a busy footbridge that crosses nearby Harrow Road, the Met said.
Witnesses heard desperate bus passengers shouting “he’s been stabbed” as the victim lay fatally wounded.
Officers carried out first aid and called for support from paramedics from the London Ambulance Service but Mr Pinnock died at the scene.
Whilst formal identification awaits, he was named publicly by the Metropolitan Police on Saturday.
Mr Pinnock's family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers, the force said.
There have been no arrests so far.
At the scene on Friday, a mother-of-four, 38, told the Standard: “There was shouting and then someone screamed, 'He’s been stabbed'.
“My friend was nearby she said there had been an argument then a fight. She was in total shock.”
Another said: “We heard there was an argument that got out of hand.”
Detectives from the Met's Specialist Crime Command are leading the investigation and want to hear from anyone with information about the stabbing.
They are particularly interested in anyone travelling on Harrow Road between Bravington Road and Third Avenue between 5 and 7pm on Thursday.
Detective Chief Inspector Neil Rawlinson said: "This happened in the early evening on a busy footbridge that crosses Harrow Road. Several people have spoken to us already and I want to hear from anyone who saw the incident or has any information that could help our investigation.
"Were you travelling on Harrow Road between Bravington Road and Third Avenue between 5pm and 7pm? If so we would like to hear from you and view any dash cam footage you may have."
