If you had hopes of visiting the beach or local park this weekend, you may want to take a rain check - with downpours predicted across the North East come tomorrow and Saturday.
While the past couple of days have beautifully bright across Newcastle and its surrounding areas, tomorrow holds a different state of affairs. It looks to be partially cloudy at best for the most part, with light showers expected come mid afternoon.
Highs of 12C and lows of 6C are also expected to accompany the drab conditions.

Saturday will see the weather worsen according to weather experts at the Met Office, with thick grey clouds soaking up any sun from start to finish. Light showers are expected from the outset and throughout, lasting until the evening. Temperatures between 9C and C are anticipated.
The Met Office says: "Breezy on Friday, with blustery showers for much of the day, some perhaps turning heavy for a time. Sunny intervals possible later.
"Maximum temperature 12 °C."
