The North East is in for some more mild but unsettled weather over the weekend with sunny spells and showers on the way amid double figures on the thermometer.
According to the Met Office, this evening will see showers ease over the course of Friday evening, leaving some clear spells as well as some mist and fog patches forming in some areas by dawn. Temperatures overnight will stay above freezing with a minimum of 3°C, leading into a mild Saturday which will see highs of 14°C.
Saturday is forecast to be cloudy with some outbreaks of rain to start the day, before the region sees sunny spells and showers throughout the afternoon with a risk of hail and thunder. Sunday will get off to a chillier start, but will be otherwise dry with sunny spells.
