It looks set to be a grey day in the North East in more ways than one on Monday following Newcastle United's Carabao Cup defeat at Wembley.
The Met Office forecast says it will be an overcast day in Newcastle on February 27 with highs of just 7°C and wind gusts reaching 20mph. However, it looks set to remain dry throughout the day as Newcastle fans make the journey back from the capital and children return to school after half term.
Looking ahead to Tuesday, the weather is set to remain the same, with a largely cloudy day forecast and highs of 6°C, while wind gusts will reach 26mph.
