North East weather: Hour-by-hour forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday according to the Met Office

While weather experts at the Met Office have given a yellow weather warning for snow and ice for today and tomorrow, the conditions across the North East over the coming days are set to be much tamer.

Experts initially predicted that while sheets of snow would lay across Newcastle and its surrounding areas come Monday and Tuesday, but the worst weather seen came in the form of light showers in the afternoon.

And while tomorrow's forecast looks to bring further midday showers for an hour or so, for the most part it looks to be sunny and shining throughout. Chilly temperatures between 4C and -3C are expected to accompany however.
