North East weather: Hour-by-hour forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday according to the Met Office

While many of us will have basked in the glorious highs of 25C today, others may well have missed out due to work and other commitments. But the good news is that there's plenty more scorching sunshine to come this week, with experts predicting a spell of hot weather ahead.

The Met Office predicts clear skies and sunshine from start to finish tomorrow, with glorious highs of 22C and calmer lows of 14C. UV is warned to be very high, with also high pollen counts in the air.

And it's a similar state of affairs come Wednesday too, bright from the outset and throughout. Punters can make the most of slightly tamer conditions between 19C and 12C respectively - not a cloud in sight.
