Anyone hoping for a bright run-up to the weekend will be left severely disappointed, with miserable and drab conditions expected across the North East for Thursday and Friday.
Tomorrow's outlook is cloud from start to finish, with highs of 10C and lows of 8C. However, the silver lining is that it's expected to stay dry.
Friday however is a much worse state of affairs, with light showers expected in the morning and continuing throughout the day. These will calm slightly, with overcast skies dissipating in the evening - before drying up overnight.
