September is set to get off to a cool and foggy start according to Met Office forecasts for Newcastle on Thursday at Friday.
While forecasters predict some sunny intervals throughout the day, mornings and evenings are expected to feel cooler. There are also expected to be some showers during the day.
The official forecast for Thursday is: "Another day of patchy cloud, sunny intervals and isolated showers after early fog clears. Rather warm once again after a cool start. Clear and cool again overnight with fog reforming. Maximum temperature 20 °C."
