Weather officials at the Met Office predict light bursts of rain and cloudy skies in Newcastle on Saturday.
Although the region is expected to start grey and drizzly, any rain clouds will turn to a lighter white by mid-morning, leading to dry weather for the most part of the weekend. And it's more of the same as Sunday strolls in, albeit with clear skies changing to clouds by mid-afternoon.
The official forecast for Friday is: "Wet and blustery at first for some, as a band of showery rain quickly passes, with drier and brighter conditions following for most through the afternoon. Feeling cooler. Maximum temperature 13 °C."

Forecasters say that the outlook for the rest of the weekend and early next week is : "Fine on Sunday. Heavy rain overnight into Monday, with drier conditions and sunny spells following for most.
"A largely dry day Tuesday with light winds, feeling warm in the sunshine."
