Experts at the Met Office predict a beautifully bright beginning to the new week, following on from a wet and damp weekend in Newcastle upon Tyne.
Minus a slightly shadowy hour or so mid afternoon come Monday, the weather is expected to be flawlessly sunny - with highs of 15C and lows of 8C expected in accordance. And although it is anticipated that Tuesday will remain dry, with less than 5 per cent precipitation, NE residents are in for a somewhat cloudier climate.
The official forecast for Monday, is: "Dry and bright start. Windy, with upland gales. A mostly cloudy day across the Cheviots and Pennines with showers arriving by late morning. Brighter with sunshine further east. Maximum temperature 15 °C."
