Met Office forecasts predict a dry but breezy day in Newcastle on Friday, with some sunny spells.

Forecasters predict that cloud will build throughout the region through the day and will remain rather breezy towards the coast.

The official forecast for Friday is: "A day with sunny spells, however coastal showers possible at times as cloud develops through Friday. Largely dry elsewhere. Winds strengthening and becoming strong for the coastal parts. Maximum temperature 14 °C."
