North East weather: Hour by hour as forecasters predict cloudy dull day

Cloudy and dull weather is set to end the weekend.

Sunday is forecast to be cloudy with showers throughout the morning and possibly through to the afternoon.

The weather forecast today states: "A rather cloudy start, with a few showers around. These mostly clearing by the afternoon, with some brighter or sunny spells developing, although the odd shower still possible.

"Feeling cooler than on Saturday. Maximum temperature 14C."

The forecast for tonight's weather states: "Cloudy for much of the night, with only limited clearer spells. Further isolated showers are possible although most parts will stay dry.

"Feeling rather chilly with light winds. Minimum temperature 6C."
