People across the North East may need to hunt out their raincoat for later this week.
According to the Met Office, early mist and fog patches are set to clear on Wednesday morning. It will be a largely dry day with variable cloud and bright or sunny spells.
They predict that it may be cloudier in the afternoon and there will be a chance of a light shower. However it will remain relatively warm with a maximum temperature of 19 °C.

Thursday is set to be a much wetter day. Forecasters expect the weather to be cloudy in the morning and change to light rain by afternoon. There is a 80% chance of heavy rain during the evening.
