Thursday’s weather in the North East is set to be largely fine and dry according to the Met Office , with lengthy sunny spells and light winds. Cloud will come in from the east in the late afternoon, with chances of showers in the evening.
Friday is forecast to be more changeable, with a mix of clear spells and occasional showers which may be heavy at times and accompanied by fresh winds. Temperatures are set to hit a maximum of 13°C on Thursday, before cooling slightly to be below average on Friday.
