North East hour-by-hour Met Office weather forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday

Tuesday is set to be dry but cloudy on Tuesday with temperatures predicted to hit the mid-teens.

For the most part, the region is expected to stay dry but there may be some rain in west Northumberland. It's then expected to rain in the early hours of Wednesday morning, but that will have cleared up by the time most are getting up for the day, giving way to sunny skies later on.

The Met Office said: "After a fine start on Tuesday cloud will increase with the odd shower likely over western hills, most eastern parts staying dry. Winds increasing through the day.
