A four storey hotel with sea views in North Cornwall has gone on the market for £1.5m.
The An Mor Hotel in Bude boasts views of Summerleaze Beach. The property includes 29 en suite bedrooms including two family rooms, a bar, function room and a vacant restaurant area. The addition of the outdoor Coast Beach Bar in 2022 provides 160 seats with panoramic views of the coast.
Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co has been instructed to market the An Mor Hotel, which is describes as an "excellent opportunity" to acquire an "impressive hotel in a thriving tourist location". Christie & Co suggested that a new owner may wish to grow the business by re-opening the restaurant, and offering weddings and functions.

Stephen Champion, director at Christie & Co who is handling the sale, said: “Having recently benefited from a range of improvements and refurbishments, An Mor is well placed for a new owner to take over and enjoy the likely increase in revenues these changes will generate. The business has significant upside in the form of untapped revenue streams which a new owner could re-establish. We expect strong interest in this beautifully situated hotel.”
The hotel is believed to have been originally constructed in the 1800s and extended in the 1930s and 1970s. In recent years it has benefited from an extensive programme of refurbishments. The seller has chosen to streamline the business and does not currently provide a restaurant offering and instead sells the rooms on a bed & breakfast only basis.
During the summer months the Coast Beach Bar sells pizzas. The hotel also has an inside bar which is open to the public.
Earlier this year, Cornwall Live reported that plans had been submitted to demolish part of the An Mor Hotel and replace it with a new care home. Developers Bude Hotels Limited said that they wanted to pull down part of the hotel and replace it with a 50-bed care home.
These plans have since been scrapped.
