In what seems like almost a worst-case scenario for a future first-round pick, North Carolina quarterback Drake Maye suffered an apparent ankle injury in the fourth quarter of a rivalry game vs NC State. Maye was attempting to make a big comeback in a game that was beginning to look like a blowout when he was unfortunately ruled out for the remained of the contest.

Maye was battling to be considered the first overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft, and if this injury is any sort of serious that could seriously affect his position this April. We of course are holding out for the best news and that Maye can return in time for North Carolina’s upcoming bowl game and begin the pre-draft process afterward.
