Top musical talent will aim to raise the roof to raise vital funds for the cost of living crisis in Kilwinning in April.
Cranberry Jam is a community concert being organised by Kilwinning man Michael Kirkum in Cranberry Moss Community Centre on Saturday, April 15.
Julian McLaughlan, Craig Scott, Gerry O’Hagan (Sax Appeal) Siannen McIlroy, Faz Ahern and Kator Cochran are all on the bill, plus special guests to be confirmed.
They are aiming to boost funds for the food larders.
Michael said: “I decided I wanted to put on a community concert to help people within the community, it’s been a tough time. The aim is to raise a couple of grand to help people caught up in the cost-of-living crisis.
“It gives people something to look forward to - a nice wee night which raises money at the same time. The musicians will all play different sets and raffle tickets will be sold on the night.
“I’ve had good feedback from people in the community who say it’s really nice the event is being organised for them.”
The father-of-10, meanwhile received a letter of thanks from Crosshouse Hospital following his annual Christmas appeal, which he said was the best ever.
In a letter, staff said thanks for “a staggering amount of toys, console games, books and selection boxes”.
He said: “That was the nicest letter I had from them and I’m really humbled and surprised that people helped so much.”
People interested in attending the gig should contact Michael through his Facebook page.
