Nordic Noir master Ragnar Jónasson on his new thriller 'Reykjavik'

arts24 © FRANCE 24

Icelandic author Ragnar Jónasson is one of the masters of Nordic Noir. His best-selling thrillers have sold millions of copies in 36 different territories. His latest novel "Reykjavik" centres around the cold case of a missing teenage girl. It's a unique collaboration with none other than Iceland's sitting Prime Minister Katrín Jakobsdóttir, his longtime friend and a fellow fan of British mystery writer Agatha Christie. The Icelandic author chatted to Alison Sargent about translating Christie's novels when he was a teenager, collaborating with the prime minister, and the connection between politicians and crime thrillers.
