MCD has officially announced Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will headline at Royal Hospital Kilmainham in Dublin.
The gig announcement comes weeks after the concert promoter “prematurely” announced the UK star will come to Dublin.
But on Monday, MCD announced the former Oasis star will come to Dublin on August 27 at Royal Hospital Kilmainham.
They'll be supported by two huge '90s acts still hard at work on the touring circuit – Glasgow's Primal Scream plus the iconic Happy Mondays.

The Dublin date will complete an extended run of outdoor shows for Noel Gallagher's solo outfit to coincide with the release of their new album, Council Skies, on Friday, 2 June.
They'll begin touring across the States this June, before heading to the UK to headline several festivals and solo shows, finally finishing out a summer of live music at none other than Dublin's own Royal Hospital Kilmainham.
Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds played Glastonbury's Pyramid stage last summer, performing a career-spanning set including a rousing version of Don't Look Back in Anger to one of the weekend’s biggest crowds.
The solo project of the eldest Gallagher brother has released three UK number 1 studio albums to date since forming in 2011, with a fourth on the way – as well as a compilation album of a decade of songs in 2021.
The new album will feature recently-released track Pretty Boy, plus the brand new single Easy Now.
The current band features singer-songwriter Gallagher alongside fellow former Oasis members Gem Archer and Chris Sharrock on guitar and drums respectively, with Mike Rowe on piano, plus former Zutons member Russell Pritchard on bass.
Tickets for the Royal Hospital Kilmainham show, priced from €49.90 including booking fees, go on sale this Friday, 3 March at 9am from Ticketmaster.
