Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds has been forced to cancel a gig in the US this evening (June 28) due to problems with the local air quality. The gig was set to take place at Breese Stevens Field in Madison, Wisconsin.
But the concert was scrapped at the last minute due to an advisory from local government public health teams. US rock band Garbage were also set to play on the same night.
The organiser said in a statement: “Based on the Public Health Madison & Dane County’s Air Quality Advisory in Madison for Wednesday, June 28, the Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and Garbage concert at Breese Stevens Field originally scheduled for this evening has been cancelled.

“Refunds will be available at the point of purchase. Ticketholders will receive an email with refund information.”
The former Oasis star and his band are set to next perform at Ruoff Home Mortgage CEntre in Noblesville, Indiana, tomorrow.
The decision to axe the gig comes after smoke from Canadian wildfires blew down into the US East Coast and Mid West today. The smoke cause hazardous levels of pollution in areas such as Detroit, Chicago and New York.
Actress Jodie Comer was forced to halt a matinee performance of Prima Facie on Broadway earlier this month due to experiencing breathing difficulties. Her issues were caused by poor air quality in New York City.
