Noel Gallagher has been slammed after he misgendered Sam Smith and called them a "f***ing idiot".
According to The Mirror, the Oasis frontman referred to the non-binary singer as "him" on Dutch radio station Kink, where he also spoke about the "current state of pop music".
He said: "Music has become quite fractured and chart music is dominated by pop. Pop music is alright if the pop stars are cool. Sadly the stars of today are f***ing idiots."
Presenters of the station then asked him who he thought was "uncool", and Noel replied: "Sam Smith."
He was then asked why he thinks Sam - who uses they/them pronouns - is uncool and Noel replied: "Look at him!"
Last week, This Morning fans were left furious at Bob Geldolf as he also misgendered Sam during an interview.
Sir Bob, 77, also referred to the non-binary star as "he" throughout the chat.
In the last few weeks, Sam has recently been criticised for their performances at the Grammys and Brit Awards, both of which had received complaints to the US and UK regulatory watchdogs.
At The Grammys, Sam's performance of Unholy with Kim Petras sparked multiple complaints to the FCC earlier this month over its devil theme.
TMZ reported at the time that the watchdog received 18 complaints filed with the Federal Communications Commission.
Some viewers said that the performance was a 'worship to the devil', with one person saying they were going to cancel their TV service.
Others said it was anti-Christian and suggested had the potential to "increase violence against Christians".
Just last week, Sam was also verbally attacked as they walked through Central Park in New York.
Sam was enjoying a walk in the park when a stranger called them "demonic" and "evil".
A video surfaced online of the singer out enjoying a stroll in New York when they were targeted by the person.
In the clip, a woman can be heard shouting: "Sam Smith belongs in hell, you demonic, twisted, sick b****d." She then shouts: "You sick motherf***** Sam Smith, you’re evil."
The woman then encourages someone else to join in before the video stops. Sam did not respond and kept walking on.
