Noel Gallagher branded "sad little dwarf" by Liam after stopping him using Oasis songs

Liam Gallagher has slammed his brother Noel on social media after he reportedly blocked Oasis songs from Liam’s Knebworth 22 documentary. Liam called his brother a “sad little dwarf”, after a fan asked whether the documentary would feature Oasis songs.

Knebworth 22 is a feature-length film documenting the Oasis singer’s return to Knebworth Park, 26 years after his band’s legendary gigs at the Hertfordshire venue. In a first in a series of tweets posted this morning Liam said: “No Oasis songs as the angry squirt has blocked them he also blocked the Oasis song for Taylor Hawkins tribute [,] he’s a horrible little man.”

Fans were quick to jump in, with one saying: “Why is Noel blocking all Oasis songs you sing? It’s not about money I guess…”. Liam quickly quipped back saying, “Coz he’s got little man syndrome”. Another chipped in to say: “He was praising u on his last interview. This maddening. The doc will still be excellent tho.”

In reply, Liam wrote: “What he says and does are 2 different things he’s a sad little dwarf.” In a later tweet he said: “You can stop up using those songs but you cannot erase our memories shame on you Noel Gallagher.”

Other fans quipped: “Is Noel Gallagher still a thing?”, to which Liam replied, “Yes a SAD LITTLE THING.” Meanwhile, a concerned fan sought clarification, asking: “Has he allowed a knebworth album to be released by LG or is that out of bounds as well.”

In response, Liam reassured the fan: “We have ways RKID don't you worry bout it you’ll see the whole gig at some point.”

The tweets are just the latest development in the ongoing feud between the estranged brothers. Back in 2019, Liam responded to the M.E.N. 's interview with Noel, in which he discussed Brexit, Nigel Farage and Jeremy Corbyn.

Writing on Twitter at the time, he said: "Nothing worse than the c*** who doesn't vote then has an opinion on everything sit down stand up Dolly Gallagher" - which accumulated 6.9k likes, 695 retweets and 583 comments.

Earlier this week, Noel Gallagher told the hosts of comedy podcast, Pub Talk, that there was “no point” in an Oasis reunion as the band “sell as many records now” as when the band were together. The singer-songwriter, who has forged his own path with his group High Flying Birds, was commenting on whether fans can ever expect a Oasis reunion.

“Er, would you go on holiday with your ex-missus?” Noel Gallagher remarked to the Pub Talk Hosts. He added: “As funny as this sounds,” he continued, “Oasis sell as many records now per year as we did when we were together. We’re as popular now in the eyes of the people as we ever were. And I’m happy with it."

Meanwhile, Knebworth 22 will be released in cinemas on November 17, with tickets available from 10am on Friday, October 21. In a statement issued about the film, Liam said: “I’m still in shock that I got to play Knebworth two nights, 26 years after I played it with Oasis.

“I’m still trying to get my head around it. To have played to multiple generations at the same venue so many years apart was beyond Biblical. I’m so glad that we documented it.

“Knebworth for me was and always will be a celebration of the fans as well as the music. Enjoy the film and let’s do it again in another 26 years. LG x.”
