Noel Gallagher and Edinburgh wife Sara's marriage ended 'after Glastonbury incident'

Oasis legend Noel Gallagher and wife Sara MacDonald’s marriage reportedly broke down because of his hell-raising.

The 55-year-old rock star and Sara, 51, had been together since 2000 after meeting on the holiday island or Ibiza. They tied the knot in 2011 and have two sons together, Donovan, 15, and Sonny, 12.

But sad news broke over the weekend, with their split coming as a shock to fans. Media reports suggested the pair are now set to divorce, writes The Mirror.

The couple announced the end of their marriage after their relationship was on the rocks in recent months, according to reports.

The Sun on Sunday reported how Noel and Sara, a fashion industry publicist from Edinburgh, had: “been on the rocks for a while and pals wonder if the trouble peaked when ex-Oasis star Noel went on a bender at Glastonbury Festival last summer.”

The sources claimed that Sara wasn't happy after Noel, “pulled a raucous, all-nighter at Worthy Farm, partying with pals including Rita Ora until 6am.”

While Noel told the outlet: “I was f***ed. I certainly wouldn’t have been able to sing on Sunday night.”

At the end of last week Noel and Sara announced the end of their marriage in a statement.

The statement, released by Noel’s publicist, read: "Noel and Sara will continue to look after their children who remain the priority. They ask the media to respect their privacy and that of our family at this time."
