'Nobody can say no' - Nottingham Forest's players react after Premier League safety secured

It was a day to remember at the City Ground as Nottingham Forest secured their Premier League status for next season.

Taiwo Awoiyi’s 19th minute goal was enough to give the Reds a 1-0 win over title-chasing Arsenal. And earn Forest all three points. Following Everton’s draw with Wolves earlier in the day, it was enough to guarantee that the Reds will be playing in the Premier League in the 2023/24 campaign.

The fight against the drop has been one full of nerves and twists and turns over the last few weeks, but the result means that Steve Cooper ’s side can watch from afar as they take on Crystal Palace in the final game of the season next weekend.

The full time whistle against Arsenal sparked scenes of celebration. But it wasn’t just at the City Ground where there were cheers, with the result also securing the Premier League title for Manchester City for a third season in a row.
