World champion Noah Lyles showcased his dominance in the men's 100 meters at the US Olympic trials, solidifying his place at the upcoming Olympics Games in Paris. Lyles, who had already won the semifinal earlier in the day, matched his personal best time of 9.83 seconds to clinch victory in the final.

Following closely behind Lyles was Kenny Bednarek, who achieved a personal best of 9.87 seconds to secure second place. Fred Kerley also put on a strong performance, finishing third with a season's best time of 9.88 seconds. Both Bednarek and Kerley, who had won silver medals at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in the 100m and 200m events respectively, also earned their spots in Paris.

Lyles, the reigning world champion in the 100m, 200m, and 4 x 100m relay, reflected on his journey to success, emphasizing the importance of setbacks and perseverance. His determination and focus were evident throughout the race, as he confidently surged ahead of his competitors and celebrated his victory even before crossing the finish line.

Despite facing tough competition from Christian Coleman, the 2019 world champion, Lyles maintained his composure and emerged victorious. Looking ahead, Lyles expressed his readiness to tackle the 200m event, aiming to improve upon the bronze medal he earned in Tokyo three years ago.
