Prior to his bathroom adventure, Kahan had already expressed his pre-show jitters and excitement to his fans. He shared his anticipation, stating that it was time to start feeling weird. Later, he revealed his Grammy Awards look - a black tie tuxedo and black-framed sunglasses - with a confident exclamation of 'Let's f---ing go.'
This marked Kahan's first time attending the Grammy Awards, and he was nominated for the coveted Best New Artist category.
