Rangers have gone radio silent across their social media platforms since 7pm on Sunday night, fuelling speculation over Philippe Clement’s future as the Ibrox boss comes under mounting pressure following their humiliating Scottish Cup exit at the hands of second-tier Queen’s Park.
The Belgian manager cut a dejected figure at Ibrox as the Glasgow giants suffered one of the most embarrassing defeats in their history, crashing out of the competition with a shock 1-0 loss to their city neighbours.
Rangers supporters reacted to the result with anger, understandably, and the post-match analysis from the club’s official accounts only consisted of a short two-minute interview with captain James Tavernier then a clip from Clement’s open media press conference.

Usually, Rangers will also record and publish their own post-match debrief with the manager.
Seb Drozd’s 69th-minute strike sealed a famous win for the Spiders, sending their travelling support into ecstasy while leaving the Rangers faithful in stunned silence.
With the fallout from Sunday’s cup catastrophe still unfolding, the club’s decision to go dark online has only intensified scrutiny.
No further post-match statements have been issued, no training ground updates, and most crucially, no clarity on Clement’s future, despite it being the talk of every news outlet, fan, and pundit.
Instead, there’s just an eerie absence of communication that has left fans demanding answers.
Many supporters have taken to social media to vent their frustration, with the majority seeminingly calling for Clement to be relieved of his duties immediately. Others, however, have turned their attention to Partick Stewart and the Rangers board, demanding accountability for what they see as continued mismanagement at the highest level.
Rangers have already lost the Premier Sports Cup trophy to Celtic this season and also trail the Parkhead club by 13 points in the Scottish Premiership.
The Light Blues’ next fixture is a crucial league clash against Heart of Midlothian, and there’s every suggestion that it could prove a defining moment.
But for now, the silence from Ibrox is deafening.
